When is it too Much?

I am never one to judge a person on the way they wear their makeup. It’s none of my business nor does it impact my life in any way. But I have to wonder, how much makeup is too much?

Contouring
I am not one who contours or does a pre-application before I apply my foundation. I just add my primer and go for it. Whatever happens, happens. If you contour your face be sure you sre using the proper products and colors for your face. You can end up looking like a clown or badly tanned. One way or the other, is contouring necessary? When I see the finished contour product, I personally feel that the face looks so greasy and shiny. If you want shine, you might as well rub your face down with Vaseline and go about your day. Contouring your face,  in my opinion, should be done only when you are on stage or getting professional photos done. If you are not doing any of those things,  keep your face healthy and skip the contouring process.

Blush
A little bit of blush goes a long way. I am very fair skinned. I tend to use a pink blush on my face. Please pick the right colors when you use or buy blush. I would suggest that you buy a couple of cheaper blushes to test them out before spending a lot of money on a good brand. When applying blush, use a blush brush of a good size. Make sure you rid your brush of the excess blush and apply it to the apples of your cheeks, extending is further up your cheek bone. Blush is used to accent your cheeks, not to change your skin tone.

Eyeshadow and Eyeliner
I normally change my eyeshadow routine every couple of months if I get tired of the style but I with my eyeliner, I only line my top lid. Wearing too much eyeliner can happen in an instant. Wearing too much eyeliner makes your eyes look tiny and closed off. Dare to wear black but make sure you do it in a way that’s classy.

Be classy,  stay vintage, and remember you’ve got moxy kid!
